VN, Indonesia look for closer investment, trade and defense cooperation
On the sideline of the ongoing 16th ASEAN Summit in Hà Nội, PM Nguyen Tan Dung on Thursday evening received Indonesian President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono.
According to PM Dung, the two countries should also further promote investment and trade activities, ink an agreement on defense cooperation and negotiate for the demarcation of their exclusive economic rights zones.
President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono confirmed that Indonesia is ready to strengthen defense cooperation, especially organizing joint sea patrols.
The guest leader pledged to support Việt Nam to attend the G20 Summit.
He showed his desire to raise the two-way trade turnover to US $2 billion this year.
