Ngo Han Expects 50 Percent Profit Growth in 2010

Ngo Han Joint Stock Company (NHW) is a leading manufacturer of electrical wires in Vietnam with 40 percent of market share. In 2009, the company made revenue of VND1,008 billion (US$58 million) and profit after tax of VND43.6 billion. With this result, earnings per share (EPS) was VND1,900 in 2009.
 
In 2010, the firm expects revenue to be VND1,224 billion, up 26 percent from a year earlier and profit before tax of more than VND87 billion, up 50 percent. The company introduced new bronze bars branded Busbar for electrical cabinets to the market in 2009 and earned VND3 billion from this product in December 2009. This is expected to boost the company’s activities in the coming years, as the product is completely imported from other nations at present. The EPS is forecast to reach VND2,400-2,800, a quite high level in comparison with its peers.
 
The company's main products are magnetic electric wires, copper wires or aluminium wires. In addition, Ngo Han also manufactures and trades bronze sheets. The firm has a bronze laminating mill with an annual output of 11,000 tons, a glazing factory with an annual output of 5,000 tons and a 2,200-ton flat wire factory.
