ASEAN Economic Ministers to Convene in Central Danang City in August

The 42nd ASEAN economic ministerial meeting (AEM 42) will take place in Vietnam’s central city of Danang in August.

 

The 42nd AEM will consider the issues relating to economic integration in ASEAN, including structural and institutional reforms, trade policies and connectivity initiatives in the region, economic ties between the bloc and outside partners and ASEAN’s efforts in maintaining its central role in newly-emerging economic architectures.

 

ASEAN’s High Level Task Force on Economic Integration (HLTF-EI) convened its 18th meeting in Ho Chi Minh City yesterday [July 27] to prepare the contents for the event in Aug.  

 

AEM 42 will be among important preparations for the 17th ASEAN Summit hosted by Hanoi in October. (VNA)
