OceanBank Debuts International Visa Debit

On August 18, 2010 in Hanoi, Ocean Commercial Joint Stock Bank (OceanBank) introduced international payment card called OceanBank Visa Debit. This is a new step in the banking technology development strategy of the lender in order to offer more utilities to customers.
 
OceanBank became an official member of Visa card organisation since September 7, 2009. With the support from Techcombank, OceanBank has now successfully issued OceanBank Visa Debit - a modern, convenient, easy-to-use payment instrument in Vietnam and any corner in the world. Customers can use the Visa Debit card to multiple purposes like money withdrawal and payment in Vietnam and in the world. Cardholders do not need to worry about bringing with cash when they study, travel or work overseas to enjoy a more comfortable life without concerns about money keeping, foreign currency declaration or faked money.
 
OceanBank Visa Debit meets Visa international standards, directly connects with payment account of customers, and accepts payments on the internet, at more than 1 million Visa ATMs and 30 million Visa points of sales in Vietnam and in 220 countries in the world. In Vietnam, there are about 15,000 Visa points of sales.
 
In addition to "traditional" features of international payment cards such as cash withdrawal and global payment network, OceanBank Visa cardholders can overdraw an amount equivalent to three-month salary. Currently, OceanBank Visa cardholders are offered free use of OceanBank Home banking, Internet Banking and SMS Banking services which allow users to check your account, make transactions anytime, anywhere without going to the bank’s transaction points.
