Vietnam Exports to U.S. Rise to $11.6B in Jan-Oct: GSO
Vietnam earned $11.6 billion from exporting commodities to the U.S. in the first ten months of 2010, up 25% from a year earlier, the General Statistics Office said.
Apparel remained the country’s biggest cash earner with $5 billion, followed by woodwork products and footwear with the same value of $1.1 billion, the GSO said in a statement.
The office, however, did not announce the Southeast Asian nation’s import values from the U.S. during the period.
The Vietnamese General Department of Customs earlier forecast the bilateral trade will surge to $19 billion and $20 billion in 2010, including the former’s export value of $14 billion. (GSO Nov Edition 2010)
