Vietnam-Taiwan Trade Rise to $6.79B in Jan-Oct
Trade between Vietnam and Taiwan rose 12.7% from a year earlier to $6.79 billion in the firs ten months of this year, including the former’s trade deficit of $4.49 billion.
Vietnam’s exports to Taiwan soared 28.2% on-year to $1.15 billion during the period and its imports rose 9.9% to $5.64 billion, the Vietnam Trade Office in Taiwan said Dec 9.
Cloth, petroleum products and machinery, equipment and spare parts were Vietnam’s main imports while its export staples were rice, apparel and seafood.
Trade between Vietnam and Taiwan stood at $7.37 billion in 2009, including the former’s trade deficit of $5.13 billion, the Ministry of Industry and Trade said in February. (
