Vietnam Construction Sector Posts Production Value at VND144.701T in 2010
Total production value of Vietnam’s construction sector rose 18.7% from a year earlier to VND144.701 trillion ($7.57 billion) in 2010 and exceeding 3% of the full-year target, the Ministry of Construction said.
In December, the sector’s production value rose to VND13.361 trillion from VND12.388 trillion in November.
Of the sum, the assembling sector reported production value at VND61.726 trillion, up 20.6% on-year and surpassing 5% of the whole-year target.
The sector’s industrial and construction materials production value rose 20.2% on-year to at VND52.670 trillion during the period, including VND4.930 trillion in December.
The ministry earlier targeted to raise the sector’s production value and investments to VND142 trillion and VND44.18 trillion in 2010, up 15% and 34% on-year, respectively. (
