Saigon Securities Recovers Top Broker Position on HOSE in Q4

Saigon Securities Inc. (SSI) became the biggest stock broker on the Hochiminh Stock Exchange (HOSE), Vietnam’s main bourse, in the fourth quarter of 2010, with an 11.61% of the market share, after ranking the second for several consecutive quarters.
 
Ho Chi Minh Securities Corp. (HSC) held the second position, holding 8.71% of the market share on the bourse, the HOSE said on its website.
 
Thang Long Securities JSC (TLS), which upheld its leading position for four consecutive quarters, and Sacombank Securities Co. (SBS) ranked the third and fourth, with 8.35% and 5.47%, respectively.
 
Top ten brokers on the HOSE accounted for a combined 52.76% market share in providing share and fund certificate brokerage services during the fourth quarter.
 
Only nine companies involved in bond brokerage. Bao Viet Securities (BVSC) was the biggest broker with 28.439% of the market, followed by Habubank Securities (HBBS) with 22.513% and SBS with 17.432%.
