Vietnam Likely to Import $13.498B Machinery & Equipment in 2010
Vietnam is estimated to have imported $13.493 billion worth of machinery, equipment and spare parts in 2010, rising 6.5% from a year earlier.
The figure has accounted for 16.06% of the country’s total import value during the period, the General Statistic Office said recently.
The Southeast Asian nation has spent $1.3 billion on importing these products in December, up 8.96% on-month.
The rising imports of machinery and equipment have been partly blamed for Vietnam’s widening trade gap to $12.375 billion this year. (GSO)
