MSD Pledges Long-term Business in Vietnam

At the inaugurating ceremony of their new office in Ho Chi Minh City on January 20, 2011, Mr Craig Kelly, Asian Vice President of pharmaceutical group Merck Sharp & Dohme (MSD), affirmed his company’s belief in the Vietnamese market and its continued investment in Vietnam.
 
MSD currently supplies medicines for cardiovascular disease, diabetes, infectious diseases, hepatitis, asthma and cervical cancer.
 
Addressing the inaugural ceremony, Mr Stephen Walter, who is in charge of Vietnam’s MSD offices, said: “MSD pledges to cooperate with the Ministry of Health and the Departments of Health of Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City to improve medical training and propagandising systems, and perfect medical care and treatment methods."
 
In addition, MSD will closely cooperate with the Vietnamese Government and other government health agencies to raise people’s preventative awareness and expand training for doctors and medical experts in Vietnam.
