Vietnam to Invest US$25 Bln on Fertiliser Production and Distribution

Vietnam will invest VND50 trillion (US$25 billion) for fertiliser production and distribution from 2011 to 2020, according to the fertiliser production development plan approved by the Ministry of Industry and Trade. In particular, nearly VND49 trillion will go to production development and VND660 billion will be spent on expanding distribution system.

 

The fund will be mobilised from various sources like domestic fertiliser producers, commercial bank loans, the Vietnam Development Bank, and foreign sources. In addition, Apatite Vietnam Co., Ltd will supply enough of apatite materials and potassium salt for production of superphosphate, fused phosphate and DAP fertilisers.

 

Major fertiliser manufacturers will join hands to set up distribution centres, particularly in key areas, and seek export markets.
