Vietnam will develop at least ten national products (NPs) by 2015 with advanced technologies, according to a Program on NPs development by 2020 that has just been ratified by the Prime Minister.

The program’s aim is to create and develop high technology-based Vietnamese trade-mark products that have strong competitiveness.

The program will focus on three main tasks, namely promoting R&D work, producing NPs samples, and commercializing the NPs.

To fulfill those tasks, Vietnam will carry out four measures, including the improvement of researchers and technicians’ capacity, strengthening technology transfers, assisting businesses and R&D facilities that are working on NPs, and boosting trade promotion and market development.
