PetroVietnam Produces 6.18M Tons of Petroleum Products in 2010
The state-run Vietnam Oil and Gas Group (PetroVietnam) produced 6.177 million tons of petroleum products last year, Chairman Dinh La Thang said at an online press conference on Jan 4.
As many as 5.71 million tons of the products were refined by the national first oil refinery Dung Quat while 467,000 tons by the Phu My condensate processing plant, Thang attributed.
PetroVietnam plans to import one million tons of crude oil as input materials for the Dung Quat refinery to refine into 4.9 millions tons of products this year.
The group is speeding up a project to raise the Phu My plant’s capacity to 76,700 cubic meters from current 31,000 cubic meters. (pvn.vn)
