Vietnam Cement Sales Reported at 50.21M Tons in 2010
Vietnam’s cement sales stood at 50.21 million tons in 2010, fulfilling 100% of the sector’s whole-year target.
In December, the country used 5.08 million tons of cement, the Ministry of Construction said on its website Dec 31 but giving no exact comparison.
The Southeast Asian nation imported 2.12 million tons of clinker and exported about 1.2 million tons of clinker and cement in 2010.
Its cement production was 5.12 million ton in December, raising the full-year output to 50.85 million ton and surpassing 1.7% of the full-year target.
The country’s cement consumption is forecast between 54.5 million and 56 million tons in 2011. (
