Vietnam LPG Production +62.4% to 595,700 Tons This Year: GSO
Vietnam is estimated to have produced 595,700 tons of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) this year, the General Statistics Office (GSO) said.
The volume represents a soar of 62.4% from a year earlier, the office said.
The national LPG output rose 1.4% on year to 58,000 tons in December.
The office estimates the Southeast Asian country has spent $498 million on importing 666,000 tons of LPG during the year, down 92% and 14.1% on year, respectively.
Domestic gas production plants namely Dung Quat and Dinh Co are capable of producing a combined 500,000 tons to 600,000 tons of gas per year, meeting half of the national demand. (GSO)
