HCM City Licenses 23,000 Enterprises This Year

Ho Chi Minh City, the Vietnamese southern economic hub, is estimated to license 23,000 companies in 2010, up 100% in value and 4.1% in number.
 
Le Thanh Phong, deputy director of the municipal Department of Planning and Investment released the information but did not specify total registered capital of these firms.
 
These licensed firms mainly specialize in services including trade services, import-export and logistics.
 
HCM City is estimated to attract $2 billion in foreign direct investment (FDI) this year, focusing on real estate, trade and industrial production. (Young People)
