PetroVietnam Produces 12.55B kWh of Electricity in 2010
The state-owned Vietnam Oil and Gas Group (PetroVietnam) produced a total of 12.55 billion kWh of electricity last year, Chairman Dinh La Thang said at an online press conference on Jan 4.
The figure indicated a soar of 47% from a year earlier and represented 14% of the national total power output, Thang attributed.
The output also exceeded 25% of the group’s full-year target, Thang added.
PetroVietnam expects to produce 108 billion kWh of electricity in the next five years, including 12.3 billion kWh this year.
As of July 2009, the group had invested in 13 power projects with a combined capacity of 10,000 MW. (pvn.vn)
