Intellectual Property Institution Needs Only One Assessor
According to latest regulations guiding implementation of a number of articles in the Law on Intellectual Property, effective from February 20, 2011, intellectual property institutions include companies, cooperatives, unproductive units, and law firms.
According to the new rule, an intellectual property institution needs one assessor, compared with two in the replaced Decree 105/2006/ND-CP dated September 22, 2006 of the Government.
Other amended provisions on intellectual property assessment include: The time for processing requests for imported and exported goods examination and superintendence from 30 days to 20 days dating from the receipt of such requests or within 24 hours from the time of receipt of requests for suspension of customs procedures.
