The Italian Chamber of Commerce in Vietnam (ICHAM) and the Hanoi Business Association (HBA) recently signed a cooperation agreement to promote bilateral relations between Vietnam and Italy. The signing with Ho Chi Minh City Business Association (HUBA) last year and the Hanoi Business Association (HBA) this year will be a solid premise for Italy - Vietnam bilateral relations to be raised to a new plane.

Under the agreement, the two associations will jointly cooperate to support the two nations' business communities to exchange experience and introduce investment promotion programmes, as well as create favourable conditions for enterprises to seek business opportunities in each country.

ICHAM was established on November 5, 2008 with objectives to advance and develop the bilateral trade between Vietnam and Italy. The Chamber opened its offices in both Hanoi and southern Ho Chi Minh City. After nearly two years and a half, ICHAM has signed up more than 40 member firms, including such famous groups as Datalogic, Piaggio, Ariston, Bonfiglioli and Rino Mastrotto.

Besides, ICHAM also admits other important Italian institutions as members such as Pesaro Urbino Chamber of Commerce.
