Regulations on Monetary, Forex Statistics Issued

The Governor of the State Bank of Vietnam (SBV) has issued the Circular No. 06/2011/TT-NHNN dated March 25, 2011 on monetary, banking and forex statistics.

 

Accordingly, the circular, which consists of three chapters and 23 articles, stipulates statistic surveys in monetary, banking and foreign exchange operations, and statistic surveys on monetary and banking operations of institutions and individuals outside the state statistics system.

 

The purposes of statistic surveys are to collect monetary and banking information and other relevant information in order to perform the functions of the state management and the central bank in line with law.

 

The statistic program on monetary and banking operations consists of the list of statistic surveys led by the SBV, the periods and dates of surveys, the survey leading and coordinating units, and survey budgeting and resources.

 

This circular specifies the procedure of statistic surveys, the rights and obligations of institutions and individuals related to the statistic surveys in monetary and banking operations; and several specific contents of the statistic surveys in monetary and banking operations of institutions and individuals outside the state statistics system.

The circular takes effect on June 1, 2011.
