Kien Giang Promotes Cooperation with SIAS
The chairman of the People's Committee of Kien Giang province has recently signed a memorandum with Wong Peng Hock, leader of a delegation from the Singapore Association of Seafood (SIAS), on cooperation in seafood, processing and export. Accordingly, Kien Giang province will encourage and create favourable conditions by allocating land and water areas and building industrial parks for enterprises from SIAS to invest in.
SIAS, in turn, will help the Kien Giang fisheries sector sell products in Singapore and the Asian market while sharing experience and information in processing and preserving products and applying food hygiene and safety methods in accordance with international rules.
The SIAS delegation, with 30 enterprises operating in food processing, visited enterprises in the Kien Giang fisheries sector to seek investment and multilateral cooperation opportunities.n
