The Ministry of Construction has requested the People’s Committee of Hanoi City to examine unauthorised handovers of houses for low-income earners in the city after it was learned that apartments in CTI Ngo Thi Nham Building (Ha Dong district) are advertised for sale on the internet.

The municipal authorities are required to inspect real estate websites and transaction floors and personal information of disclosers. In case of violating regulations on purchase of low-income houses, which prohibit owners from selling their shelters for a certain period, apartments put for sale will be taken back. In case information is determined wrong, disclosers will be fined according to the law.

In addition, Hanoi watchdogs need to intensify supervision over delivery and use of low-income housing. Handovers of shelters to people dissimilar to house purchase contracts are not recommended.
