The British Council recently launched “design super-entrepreneur competition”, which is sponsored by jewellery company PNJ, and supported in Vietnam by the Ministry of Culture, Sports & Tourism. The competition aims to find a design super-entrepreneur to represent Vietnam in London in the International Young Design Entrepreneurs Award for 2011 and 2012.

Candidates must be Vietnamese people between 25 to 40 by 30 June 2011 and be working within the design sector. Besides, they need to have English communication skills to pass the interview part, of which, a 20-minute presentation and a 15-minute interview in English with the panel of judges. Here they will be asked to talk at length on the national design sector, their achievements and how the competition can benefit them.

The national winner will then represent Vietnam in the UK where they will compete with candidates from other countries to be named this year’s International Young Design Entrepreneur. The winner will then attend the prestigious London Fashion Week and London Design Festival.

All competition entry requirements are available on www.britishcouncil.org/vietnam.
