Cuulong Seaproducts JSC Asserts Brand on Global Market

With a more than 20 year experience in processing and exporting seaproducts, Cuulong Seaproducts Joint Stock Company (Cuulong Seapro) has become a leading seafood processor in the Mekong Delta region.
 
Starting with an aquatic processing factory with a yearly capacity of 1,500 tonnes, the company built and put into operation the second one in 2000, bringing the total capacity to 4,000 tonnes per year. Cuulong Seapro has successfully processed high-valued seafood products to boost export turnover. The firm has also invested to upgrade equipment, scale up production capacity, and apply food quality management systems meets international standards like HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point or HACCP), GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice), BRC (British Retail Consortium - Global Standard for Food Safety), and ISO9001:2000. It also went public to create new development momentums in the period of development and integration.
 
The main business line of Cuulong Seapro is frozen aquatic products, of which shrimps and catfish account for 90 percent. The company’s factories are situated in Tra Vinh province where input supplies are abundant, especially where shrimp culturing area is 25,000 ha and output reaches more than 18,000 tonnes. In addition, with a good geographical location and easy access to waterway and road traffics, Cuulong Seapro can easily transport materials to its processing factories and finished products to the market. These favourable conditions helped the company to bring up its export turnover to US$50 million and production output to 6500 tonnes in 2010. Cuulong Seapro has won the trust of customers and asserted its position and name in key markets like Japan, North America and Europe. Many large companies have chosen Cuulong Seapro as a major supplier for their channels.
 
In recent years, Cuulong Seapro has constantly expanded is production and storage facilities, and upgraded machines and equipment to scale up processing capacity, diversify product lines, and improve product quality to different requirements of customers. However, the factor that makes the quality of the company’s products is the supply of clean and pure materials.
 
Mr Tran Thanh Le, Deputy General Director of Cuulong Seapro, said the company always has a broad consensus and determination of the entire staff to complete business plans. Since 2005, the company has obtained good business results - a reward for continuous efforts of all staffs for the development of the company. Cuulong Seapro is striving to complete the upgrading of its facilities to boost up output and bring export revenue to US$60 million in 2011.
