Nam Thanh Construction & Investment JSC: “Fortune Favours the Bold”

Nam Thanh Construction & Investment JSC is typical of Vietnamese businesses in the new era.

Nam Thanh Construction & Investment JSC was established in August 2000. One decade is not long enough for an enterprise aiming to build long-term and sustainable development, however, thanks to its efforts Nam Thanh Company has succeeded in making its trademark well-known in the construction sector in Son La province.

 

During the first days, the company met lots of difficulties because of the shortage of capital and skilled workers, as well as weak technical infrastructure. Thanks to good leadership, the company has since created many opportunities and found effective investment methods. Nam Thanh has a good marketing method that helped the company conquer several market segments. Operating in the field of investment and construction, the company has arranged its investment reasonably; concentrated on a number of reliable projects; ensured the signed contracts’ process as well as the work’s quality, labour safety and environmental hygiene; applied science and technology, professional management system in the executing the work and paying in order to reduce time and costs. By doing that, the company’s revenue in 2010 reached VND90 billion, contributing over VND6 billion to the state budget and creating 250 jobs. Besides, the company always considers the human force a key for development. Director Nguyen Van Xuat offered many reasons for these achievements. First, the company has been given favourable conditions to develop in accordance with its capacity by the provincial people’s committee and relevant agencies. Second, Decree 03 and the province’s programs of economic development have received active support of authorized levels and the participation of the community, contributing to creating a stable business environment and guaranteeing the safety of construction materials at the company’s work sites. For itself, the company maintains a streamlined management structure, a team of professional engineers and skilled workers, an adequate treatment mechanism and strict principles which encourage labourers to consider the company as their home.    

Son La is a mountainous province with lots of difficulties. To actively integrate and attract more new investments, Nam Thanh and other enterprises call for more governance policies and priorities from the provincial authority and the state to support them in the fields of capital, interests, administrative procedures and order and security.
