Managed Services Strategies Grows Faster in Developing Asia
At the 2011 Asia Pacific InTouch Business Forum recently held in Singapore, Amdocs (NYSE: DOX), the leading provider of customer experience systems, released the findings of a research report that shows increasing adoption of managed services strategies by communications service providers in developing Asia. The research was conducted by leading analyst firm Analysys Mason.
The research reports that managed services revenues in developing Asia are estimated to grow at a 10.2 percent CAGR. In comparison, managed services revenues in developed Asia and in Central and Latin America are expected to grow at 6.4 percent and 8.2 percent CAGR, respectively; Managed services strategies in developing Asia are deployed to improve the probability of project success by establishing a single point of accountability, which also results in faster delivery of new services. Managed services strategies are also deployed to allow the operational scalability required to support rapid subscriber growth (subscriber counts in developing Asia are growing at a rate of 20 percent per year, approximately double the global subscriber growth rate).
In 2010, Amdocs signed new managed services agreements with communications service providers to support nearly 200 million additional subscribers across North America, Europe and Asia. Of these agreements, four were in developing Asia. Amdocs is the only managed services vendor in Asia which also offers a comprehensive portfolio of B/OSS software systems.
