Long Hai Security Services JSC was founded, licensed and registered on September 6, 1995. It is the first licensed security services company in Ho Chi Minh City. The company’s founder and General Director is retired General Phan Van Xoan, formerly commander-in-chief of the Ministry of the Interior’s internal security division, with more than 40 years of responsibility for the protection of Vietnam’s leaders including President Ho Chi Minh.
In December, 2009 Long Hai became a joint venture joint stock company with investment from Securitas AB, a knowledge leader in security services with more than 280,000 employees in 45 countries. Like Long Hai, the famous American security consulting and investigation company Pinkerton C&I, is also “A Securitas Company”.
Long Hai protects homes, workplaces and the community, following the Securitas core values of Integrity, Vigilance and Helpfulness. It has approximately 2,100 guards throughout Vietnam who have all completed and successfully passed Long Hai Security's minimum training course and are certified by the Ministry of Public Security. The company operates nationally, not only in Ho Chi Minh City, but also in Hanoi, Danang, Can Tho, Haiphong, Ba Ria-Vung Tau, Dong Nai, Binh Duong, and Hai Duong.
Being “The Professionals” has always been the company’s goal, which is why its 200 clients are mainly MNCs, including 17 foreign banks in Vietnam, the only international university, one of the foreign-invested gold mines, 10 diplomatic missions in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, five foreign oil and gas companies, two of the major foreign hotels in Ho Chi Minh City, and four of the top office buildings in Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi.
Along with its founder General Xoan, Long Hai’s three Deputy General Directors (Mr Phan Nam, Ms Duong Thi Thu Thuy, and Mr Cu Hoang Nong) manage Long Hai’s day-to-day operations from its HCMC Head Office, supported by Ms Bui Thi Hoa, Sales Manager, and Mr Graham Potter, Director of Business Development. The company’s largest branch, in Hanoi, is managed by Vice Directors, Mr Pham Quy and Ms Le My Dung.
Long Hai’s “firsts” include being the first security company in Vietnam to offer 24-hour Central Alarm Monitoring (CMS service), the first to offer Security Transportation (CIT service – Long Hai is the Vietnam representative of Brink’s Global Services), the first to obtain extensive corporate insurance (Professional Indemnity, Public Liability, Fidelity Guarantee and Armoured Car coverage), and the first to obtain ISO Certification (ISO 9001:2008 from SGS – UKAS).
Throughout the world, effective security now means the convergence of Human Resources (trained guards) together with technology (Surveillance Cameras, Access Control, Intruder Alarms and Remote Monitoring). Long Hai’s plans for 2011-2012 include new and expanded services in Video Monitoring and Mobile Patrol, using the global expertise and experience of Securitas to support Long Hai’s local expertise and experience.
