Fifth Anniversary of 'Road to Olympia Peak'

LG Electronics Vietnam has organised many activities for mountain climbers who have conquered the Olympia peak over the past five years in the eco-tourist site of Thac Da in Ba Vi district, Ha Tay province. The company has recently marked its fifth anniversary since the launching of the programme.

This is not only simply an annual exchange meeting for mountain climbers from senior secondary schools nationwide but also a festival with the participation of more than 140 weekly, monthly, quarterly and yearly champions, who reviewed the five-year development of the programme. Interesting activities, including the visit to the LG Electronics factory, camping, games, swimming and cycling contests, were organised on the occasion. The activities also saw the participation of champions Tran Ngoc Minh, Phan Manh Tan, Luong Phuong Thao, Vo Van Dung and Nguyen Thanh Vinh.

Established as an intellectual playground for senior secondary students, 'Road to the Olympia Peak' has attracted much attention.  The programme shows its great efforts for humanity and educational development. The 2003 programme was voted as one of the most interesting show-games on the Vietnam Television Channel 3 (VTV3) and this is why LG Electronics Vietnam has made a long-term sponsorship commitment for the programme. With scholarships for winners and, more importantly, the belief in the spirit of mountain climbers, LG hopes that after ten or 20 years, Vietnam will have a generation of young, excellent Olympia people, who will contribute to the further development of Vietnam.
