Thai Binh Road Management Company is a public enterprise managing and mending roads within the province. For the past years, with the tireless efforts of its staff, the company has not only fulfilled all political tasks, but also actively connected and formed joint venture to take part in tender and win many transportation works, which raised company turnover and created many jobs.
With the impacts of the world economic crisis, 2008 was a really tough year. Thai Binh Road Management Company was no exception. High bank interest rates, limited capital source for small and medium enterprises, and the company’s limited capital made it difficult to allocate funds to regulate production plans. Cost of input materials continuously increased, which caused difficulties in implementing transportation projects. However, even in this context, with appropriate strategies and orientation, the company’s Board of Management worked out timely measures to overcome challenges and maintain stable growth. In particular, the company managed to increase work progress, review capital borrowing sources and cut production costs. In addition, staff must agree on business method and strategy. With tireless efforts from the staff, Thai Binh Road Management Company overcame the time of crisis and maintained stable production; the company’s turnover increases annually. The company gained revenue of VND 37.5 billion in 2008, VND 40 billion in 2009 and VND 45 billion in 2010. Contribution to the national budget also rose each year, which was VND1 billion in 2008; VND 1.5 billion in 2009 and VND 1.7 billion in 2010. The average income per month of workers was VND2 million in 2008, VND 2.4 million in 2009, VND 2.5 million in 2010 and VND 2.7 million in the first quarter of 2011.

Thanks to flexible management, good investment and the ability attract capital and human resources for key projects, the company has implemented projects quickly and maintained good progress.
