L’Humanite Newspaper Festival 2011

Nhan Dan (The People) newspaper hosted a meeting at its head office at 71 Hang Trong Street, Hanoi on July 11, 2011 to discuss preparations for a display booth at the L’Humanite Newspaper Festival 2011 scheduled to open in Paris, France in September 2011.
 
This is an important event to be hosted by the French Communist Party, and Vietnam is an honorary guest. This event also commemorates the 100 years since President Ho Chi Minh set foot on France.
 
The Vietnamese delegation will consist of high-ranking officials from central agencies like the Central External Relations Committee, the Ministry of Transport, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Planning and Investment, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI), etc., two provinces of Thai Nguyen and Nghe An, and large corporations like the Vietnam Airlines Corporation, the Vietnam Railway Corporation, the Vietnam National Oil and Gas Group (PetroVietnam), etc. The Vietnamese delegation is led by Mr Dinh The Huynh, Member of the Politburo and Head of the Central Propaganda Committee.
 
The French side will spare 600 sq. metres for Vietnam to display its newspapers. Vietnam will exhibit in three main themes: Economy (introducing dynamic, innovative economy of Vietnam), Culture (introducing Vietnamese unique cultures to international friends), and international cooperation (introducing opening up policies).
