Vietnam to Partake in UNESCO’s 36th General Conference
A Vietnamese delegation will join the 36th General Conference of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization from October 25-November 10 this year.
The Prime Minister, in a recent Official Dispatch, assigned the Chairman of the Vietnam National Commission for UNESCO to lead the delegation.
The Commission will be responsible for coordinating with relevant ministries and agencies to make necessary preparations for the delegation.
The UNESCO’s Executive Board meets twice a year to review its target realization. The previous General Conference was held from October 6-23 with the participation of representatives of 193 member states.
Since its admission to UNESCO, Vietnam has received the organization’s remarkable assistance and support in terms of ideas and experience as well as financial and technical assistance to a number projects.
The relations between Vietnam and UNESCO have progressed remarkably in both quality and quantity.
