Marco Saladini, Italian Chief Trade Commissioner in Ho Chi Minh City, said: Recently, emerging market segments in Vietnam like fashion and cosmetics tend to expand rapidly. The Vietnamese market is now catching more attention of Italian businesses. Particularly, some Italian companies have invested in supporting industries in Vietnam like Gritti and Berbrand which produce clothe buttons. Besides, Italian companies are keen on Vietnam’s potential exports like foodstuff, seafood and engine shafts. Hence, the Italian Trade Commission in Ho Chi Minh City will focus on investment and trade promotion activities in the coming time. The commission will attach focus to food and supporting industries in Vietnam.
