New Luxury Tourism Complex to Take Shape in Vung Tau City

Singapore’s Low Keng Huat Company has selected Ba Ria-Vung Tau Province to expand its investments outside Ho Chi Minh City.
 
OSC-DUXTON Ltd.Co., a joint venture between the National Oil Services Company of Vietnam Ltd (OSC Vietnam) and Low Keng Huat Company, will build a complex of a five-star hotel, offices and apartments for rent at Bai Truoc, Vung Tau City, a famous tourism site for the province.
 
The project, licensed in August 2009, covers 3.15ha, including the 18-floor hotel named Duxton Vung Tau, a 25-floor building for rent and two 21-storey blocks, each comprising 135 apartments.
 
Besides, the project also has other works such as trade centre, conference area, exhibition and entertainment area. Total investment in the project is estimated at USD120 million, including extra fees.
 
The project will be kicked off in mid-November. Construction will be divided into two phases and slated for completion for five. The offices for rent will be built in the first phase, while the hotel and apartments will be built in the second stage.
 
The basement, the first and second floors of Duxton Vung Tau Hotel will accommodate trade centres and the rest will be used for health clubs, utility areas and rooms.
 
Dang Di Nghia, representative from OSC DUXTON Vietnam, said that beside the project in Vung Tau City, the company is now managing Duxton Saigon in Ho Chi Minh City which has 200 rooms of four-star standard. It is just a 20 minute drive from Tan Son Nhat International Airport to the hotel. From the hotel, visitors can easily come to the city’s administrative centres, trade centres and tourism sites.
 
The hotel offers travellers an open and fresh air of gardens, swimming pools and modern rooms, and particularly a professional serving style. Up to 98% of visitors to the hotel are from abroad, in which, those from Europe account for 35%. Following is tourists from Australia and New Zealand with 25%, Singapore and Malaysia 17%, and the rest from other countries.
 
After Duxton Saigon, Low Keng Huat has opened five other hotels in Australia, three in New Zealand and one in Singapore.
