HCMC University of Natural Resources and Environment Set up

Minister of Natural Resources and Environment Nguyen Minh Quang handed the Decision on the establishment of the Ho Chi Minh City University of Natural Resources and Environment to the university’s leaders on October 14, 2011 in Ho Chi Minh City.

 

Following its sister in Hanoi, the HCM City-based university marked a new step of development of the Vietnamese natural resource and environment sector. It will train personnel of natural resources and environment for southern provinces.

 

Minister Nguyen Minh Quang said "The Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment will actively support the university to raise qualifications of lecturers and other staffs by assigning them to scientific researches, domestic and overseas training, exchange activities, and academic linking.”

 

On this occasion, two main donors, namely Southern Natural Resources and Environment Co., Ltd and Vietnam Solid Waste Treatment Company, together with many other donors presented scholarships to students.
