PM Approves Denmark-sponsored Projects
The Prime Minister has ratified four non-refundable projects of the first phase of the Pilot Research Cooperation Program sponsored by the Danish Government.
The four projects valued at DKK 18 million target to mitigate climate change impacts in Vietnam.
Specifically, the projects will assess the impacts of climate change that may have on land and means of subsistence among the communities living in the Red River Delta, and on natural conditions, the environment, and socio-economic development in the Central region.
Two of the four projects will create new rice varieties tolerant to harsh weather in coastal regions and preserve ecosystems in river mouths.
The Prime Minister has asked the Ministry of Science and Technology to instruct related agencies to implement the projects in line with the current regulations.
