Pre-APEC Summit Discussion on Vietnam’s Future Role & Opportunities in APEC
On November 10-12, 2011, twenty-one heads of state from the Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) community, including President Truong Tan Sang, will meet at the APEC CEO Summit in Honolulu, Hawaii to exchange their views on international trade, the stability of the world’s monetary system, the role of the developing world in APEC, and the leadership of the USA in the global scene.
The University of Hawaii Shidler College of Business will host a unique pre-APEC Summit discussion on Vietnam’s future role and opportunities in APEC on October 6. VCCI Vice President Hoang Van Dung, Head of Vietnam’s delegation to the 2011 APEC CEO Summit and Mr An Le, United States Consul General, will provide insight on the importance of the issues that will be addressed at this year’s Summit, including the potential role of Vietnam in APEC. This will be a unique opportunity for business and government leaders to have an open discussion about the key drivers of future growth in Vietnam and the Asia-Pacific region.
