The Vietnamese delegation led by Deputy Minister of Natural Resources and Environment Bui Cach Tuyen attended the Global Green Growth Forum (3GF) in Denmark at the invitation of the Danish Embassy in Hanoi. The Vietnamese delegation joined the plenary session and group-based discussions on finance for green growth, and the relationship between green growth and international trade and market.

The inaugural Global Green Growth Forum (3GF) recently organised in Copenhagen, Denmark by the Danish Government with the cooperation of the Governments of South Korea and Mexico, aims to spur green growth through better public-private partnership at a high-level platform that will frame the successful transition to a global green economy.

3GF brings together 200 invited global leaders from government, business, finance and civil society to collectively spur green growth and design the architecture for a green economy. The forum provided an interactive arena to develop ideas and opportunities for joint action and enable strategic and practical learning across sectors, countries and projects at a national and international level.

In early October, Vietnam successfully hosted the Asia - Europe Meeting Green Growth Forum with the theme “Jointly acting towards green economies.” This represented Vietnam’s efforts for green growth-based sustainable development.
