Vietnam to Join COP17 in South Africa
The Prime Minister recently agreed in principle the establishment of a Vietnamese delegation to partake in the UN conferences on climate change.
The delegation will join the 17th Conference of the Parties to the UN Framework Convention (COP17) and the 7th Session of the Conference of the Parties (CMP7) in Durban, the South Africa.
The Minister of Natural Resources and Environment will lead that interdisciplinary delegation to these conferences, which are to be from December 5 to 9.
COP17 will focus on energy security and agricultural development, expected to bring together over 15,000 delegates from 194 countries and territories which are members of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC).
