Vietnam Pledges to Consolidate Strategic Ties with Japan
Vietnam is keen on consolidating and enhancing the strategic partnership with Japan, affirmed PM Nguyen Tan Dung.
PM Dung made the statement while meeting with President of Japanese Communist Party Kazuo Shii on Monday.
He said that during his on-going visit to Japan, both sides will map out key orientations to further expand the bilateral ties.
The Government chief also expressed his pleasure at the fine development of the relations between the two parties over the past time.
President Kazuo Shii congratulated on Vietnam’s socio-economic achievements. He voiced his party’s support for cooperative programs between the two countries.
On the same day, PM Dung met Minister of Economic, Trade and Industry Edano.
PM Dung asked Japanese Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry to closely coordinate with Vietnamese relevant ministries and sectors to accelerate the bilateral ties, particularly in such fields of trade and investment.
PM Dung is scheduled to hold talks with his Japanese counterpart Yoshihiko Noda this afternoon.
