Vietnam Boosts Multifaceted Cooperation with Luxembourg
Vietnam always attaches importance to developing the multifaceted ties with Luxembourg, said Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung while receiving Luxembourg Grand Duke Henri.
Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung welcomed Luxembourg Grand Duke Henri’s official visit to Vietnam, applauding the results of his talks with State President Truong Tan Sang for generating an important milestone which would lift the bilateral ties to a new height.
Mr. Dung thanked the valuable assistance Luxembourg has given Vietnam, especially its ODA for Vietnam to fight poverty and spur development.
According to Prime Minister Dung, despite the positive outcomes in trade activities with Luxembourg currently being the fourth largest European investor in Vietnam, there are wide doors for the two sides to tap available potentials for mutual economic benefits.
Vietnam hopes to expand cooperation with Luxembourg beyond their traditional ones to culture, education and tourism, said the Prime Minister.
Luxembourg Grand Duke Henri said that he was really impressed by the socio-economic achievements that Vietnam has gained, especially those in inflation control and poverty reduction.
The Grand Duke said he hoped that the two countries would maintain reciprocal visits and delegation exchanges to boost economic and investment ties.
He noted that Luxembourg businesses are interested in investment activities in Vietnam.
The guest leader also recommended the two countries boost trade activities so as to bring their two-way trade volume to a more impressive figure.
Luxembourg is ready to serve as a gateway for made-in-Vietnam goods to enter the Europe, affirmed Grand Duke Henri.
