Non-Agriculture Tax Law to Be Enforced in 2012
The new law, on taxes imposed on the use of non-agrarian land, was introduced by the General Department of Taxation in Hanoi on November 15.
This law, together with another law on environmental protection, will take effect as of January 1, 2012.
According to the non-agriculture tax law, taxpayers include organizations, households, and individuals who use land in rural and urban areas.
The production and non-agrarian business land includes land for construction of industrial zones, land for mineral exploitation and processing, land for making construction material and ceramics, and other kinds of land for business operations.
Under the new law, there are three rates of tax at 0.03 percent, 0.07 percent, and 0.15 percent, respectively.
