UK Trade Team Mission to Visit Vietnam
Representatives from 12 companies under London Chamber of Commerce & Industry Trade Team Mission (LCCI) led by Paul Smith, Harvey Nash Executive Chairman will visit Vietnam from 14-18 November.
The mission will be beginning in Ho Chi Minh City between 14 -16 November and then Hanoi 17 - 18 November. Networking receptions is held by the British Consulate General on the 14th November and at the Ambassador’s Residence in Hanoi on the 17th November.
A wide range of products and services are being promoted by the companies on the mission. Products include: agricultural, machinery, laboratory equipment, medical equipment and manufacturer of specialist split roller bearing for industrial applications in power generation, steel, cement, marine and mining. Services represented include: education and training, recruitment, marketing consultancy, operational management systems and trade finance.
Mr Bishop - deputy mission leader, Deputy Chief Executive, LCCI and Chairman of the International Chamber of Commerce/World Chambers Federation ATA Carnet Council will also meet with government officials and businesses in Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi to discuss the adoption of the ATA Carnet Scheme – the ‘passport for goods’ to facilitate the movement of goods for trade fairs and exhibitions, as well as professional equipment and samples. This initiative would be hugely beneficial to Vietnam.
The mission participants have a range of objectives including looking for local representatives, qualified distributors or agents and clients. Some will be researching the market for the first time, others will be building on existing contacts and all will be looking to make new contacts. Under the guidance of UK Trade & Investment, companies will have the opportunity to meet up with useful contacts and, by virtue of being in a group, have access to a range of intelligence.
