As a member of PetroVietnam Construction Joint Stock Corporation (PVC), inheriting the capacity and experience accumulated in nearly 30 years of operations of its forerunner, PVC-PT has rapidly developed become a leading petroleum construction and engineering industry. The company has asserted its competence in designing, fabricating and installing fuel tanks, LPG tanks, oil and gas pipelines; installing technological equipment and controlling equipment systems; fabricating oilrigs, rig bases; maintaining and repairing oil and gas works, installing technological equipment, etc.
With experience in petroleum construction and engineering industry, PVC-PT has successfully carried out many important projects and received great appreciations from customers. Typical works include Cu Lao Tao - Vung Tau fuel storage, the second phase expansion of Nha Be petrol storage, Go Dau - Dong Nai LPG storage facility, Dung Quat - Quang Ngai LPG storage facility, the second phase of low pressure gas distribution system, the fabrication of 90-metre water depth mobile self-elevating drilling rig, and the fabrication of Doi Moi oil platform. Besides, PVC-PT is the first in Vietnam to undertake about 50 percent of annual workload concerning the repair and maintenance of drilling rigs for Vietsovpetro - a Vietnam - Russia oil and gas joint venture. It is also the investor of gas tank manufacturing facility in Soai Rap - Tien Giang Oil and Gas Industrial Park.
Currently, PVC-PT has sufficient human resources for business and production expansion. Annually, the company organises regular professional and managerial skill training for its staffs. Particularly, the company focuses on recruiting young, highly-qualified engineers and skilled workers to train them into next masters of the company and to meet sustainable development requirements. Efforts to make name
In 2010, PVC-PT completed many important large-scaled projects like Dung Quat LPG storage facility, RC Doi Moi platform, and the second phase expansion of Nha Be petrol storage. Besides, PVC-PT repaired and maintained offshore platform for Vietsovpetro. In addition, PVC Corporation assigned PVC-PT to invest in the petroleum tank manufacturing plant in Soai Rap - Tien Giang Oil and Gas Industrial Zone and work as an EPC contractor for PetroVietnam steel pipe manufacturing plant (PV Pipe).
Powered by its achievements in 2010, the Board of Directors of the PVC-PT was self-confident to put forth high ambitions for 2011. The company has focused its resources on completing production and business tasks and speeding up the construction of key projects like PV Pipe, gas tank manufacturing facility in Soai Rap - Tien Giang Oil and Gas Industrial Zone, Thi Vai LPG refrigerated storage facility, DMC petrochemical factory in Ba Ria - Vung Tau province-based Cai Mep Industrial Park, Block B - O Mon gas pipeline that costs US$1 billion (PVC-PT holds about 25 percent of project value and undertakes the construction of 77 km).
