PVC - KBC: Adaptive Integration, Robust Development

Kinh Bac Petroleum Construction and Investment Joint Stock Company (PVC - KBC), headquartered at 119 Huyen Quang Road, Ninh Xa Ward, Bac Ninh City, Bac Ninh Province, officially began operation on June 24, 2009 as a member of the PetroVietnam Construction Joint Stock Corporation (PVC), an affiliate of Vietnam National Oil and Gas Group (PetroVietnam). After two years of operation, the company has made sustainable development and rational investment, selectively applying new technologies to bring in high economic efficiency and stable income for employees.
Improving competitiveness
PVC - KBC is a member of the PetroVietnam Construction Joint Stock Corporation (PVC), an affiliate of Vietnam National Oil and Gas Group (PetroVietnam). It has been making its name in its specialised fields like building oil and gas, civil, industrial, transport, water supply and drainage projects and electrical works with voltage of 35 KV; site clearing; interior decorating; installing construction equipment; providing hotel, motel and restaurant services; importing, exporting and trading machines and equipment for construction and petroleum industries; and designing civil and industrial structures, architectures, interiors and exteriors.
 
PVC - KBC has become a reputable construction company in Vietnam and won the absolute trust of domestic and foreign partners. The company is undertaking many important projects like Dinh Vu polyester fibre plant, Thai Binh 2 thermal power plant, and Kinh Bac Petroleum Hotel. PVC - KBC has also stepped up financial investment and capital contribution to establish Saigon Holdings, a well-reputed company on the Vietnamese stock market; PVTEX Kinh Bac Joint Stock Company, a provider of fibre-spinning tubes, papers and cartons; and PetroVietnam Materials and Engineering Joint Stock Company, a distributor of building materials.
 
PVC - KBC is also an EPC contractor for the VND320 billion PVTEX employee housing project in Dinh Vu, Hai Phong City, which was kicked off in January 2011. This facility comprises residential areas for PVTEX employees and other synchronous public utilities like medical centres, gyms and kindergartens. PVC-KBC also plans to build Kinh Bac Petroleum Trade, Service and Urban Centre in Bac Ninh City, Bac Ninh Province on an area of 86,000 square metres.
 
In addition, due to the market development requirements, especially in the field of production and business, PVC-KBC continues its investment in building projects to expand the roller core fiber factory (PVTEX Kinh Bac) and the residential accommodation for its staff in an area of 2.6 ha in Dong Du village, Dao Vien commune, Que Vo district, Bac Ninh province.
 
Integration for sustainable development
In 2010, PVC - KBC was certified with the ISO 9001:2008 quality management certificate by Vietnam Certification Centre (Quacert). The company was also awarded the Golden Cup and Golden Hall of Fame with the Title “Integrating and Developing Enterprise” in 2010 for its outstanding production and business performance and enhancement in competitiveness. It also received the Hall of Fame for Cultured Enterprises 2010 from the Federation of UNESCO Vietnam Associations for brilliantly exercising corporate social responsibility and promoting Vietnamese cultural identity. Beyond those, the company was presented the Certificate of Merit for Support of the Poverty Reduction Programme in Bac Ninh in 2010 by the Chairman of Bac Ninh People’s Committee.
