Japan ICT Day 2011 Opens in Hanoi
The Vietnam - Japan Information and Communication Technology Day 2011 (Japan ICT Day) took place at the Hanoi IT Exchange Centre, Hanoi City on November 24 , 2011 in an attempt to strengthen the exchange of information and experience among ICT businesses. The event was co-organised by the Vietnam Software Association (VINASA) and the Vietnam-Japan Information Technology Cooperation Club (VJC).
Japan ICT Day 2011 brought together 20 Japanese businesspeople from three delegations, namely the Japan Information Technology Service Industry Association (JISA), the Open Embedded Software Foundation (OESF), and the Embedded System Industry Promotion Organization (ESIP) in Kansai region, Japan.
Japan ICT Day 2011 consisted of two workshops, namely “Vietnam - Japan I Cooperation towards Vietnamese Market” and “Human Resource Development for Vietnam - Japan Long-term IT Cooperation.” Besides, many visits and exchanges were made during the event.
At the workshops, in addition to speeches concerning the Vietnamese IT industry overview, development trends and successful cooperation experience, VINASA and VJC presented an overview and prospects of Vietnam - Japan IT cooperation. Reports on Japanese software outsourcing demand and tendencies were also keynoted at the workshops. Particularly, VINASA officially announced the first-ever “List of software careers and IT services,” a component of the human resource ranking system called VINASA Ranking System (VRS) which was built on the Japanese Skill Standards for IT Professionals (ITSS) and the European Certification of Informatics Professionals (EUCIP). Ranking principles are based on ITSS.
