DHL to Launch New Direct Flight Service
The world’s leading express service provider DHL recently announced to launch its new direct flight service connecting HCM City to major hubs in Asia including Hong Kong and Bangkok.
This new flight service provides ease of trade for businesses in Vietnam and ensures the sustainability and scalability of the local businesses in the international scene.
The new service sees Boeing 727F providing 22,000 kilograms of inbound and outbound uplift to Vietnam five days/week, flying from HCM City to Hong Kong, to Bangkok and return to HCM City. It also helps improve the throughput to the key Vietnamese trade lanes of EU and the US. Addressing at the launching ceremony, the newly appointed general director of DHL –VNPT Express Christopher Ong said that the global demand for Vietnamese products and Vietnamese market’s demand for imported have never been higher, this new service can help businesses ride on the growing demands to expand their businesses overseas. At the same time, customers can enjoy a later outbound cut off time of 02 hours. The flights will arrive at 7.30 AM from Bangkok; depart for Hong Kong at 9.20 PM
It is expected in quarter 1 of 2012, DHL will launch its direct flight service from Hong Kong to Saigon.
