US$3.5 Million to Help Laos Apply Information Technology
On January 8th, a ceremony of a groundbreaking project to support central agencies of the Lao People’s Revolutionary Party to apply information technology took place in Vientiane.
The event drew the participation of representatives from the Central Office of the Communist Party of Vietnam, the Central Office of the Lao People’s Revolutionary Party and relevant agencies.
The 3.5 million USD project will be carried out by Viettel Group and Unitel Company from now until the end of 2012.
The event aims to mark the 50th anniversary of establishing the Vietnam-Lao diplomatic tie and the 35th anniversary of the Treaty of Amity and Cooperation between Vietnam and Laos.
The project is expected to contribute to building an advanced working style and training for human resources on information technology and improving the quality of research and advice for leaders.
