"Open Day" at RMIT International University
RMIT International University Vietnam recently held an “Open Day” at its campus in Ho Chi Minh City with the aim of giving students and their parents the opportunity to learn more about RMIT Vietnam. The open day also provided a chance for parents to tour the campus, experience the IT wireless environment, meet with academics and discuss their children’s study plans and career goals. All visitors learnt about the premium quality education that RMIT Vietnam has provided in Vietnam since 2001. One of the exciting features of the day was the Learning Resource Centre which allowed visitors to access RMIT Melbourne electronic databases and books, as well as traditional textbooks, computers for research and a multimedia room. The day also involved the laptop display of four giant IT corporations - IBM, Hewlett Packard Vietnam, FPT and KTC. Visitors were informed of financial solutions offered by Bao Minh CMG through educational policies with RMIT Vietnam and the special procedures for applying for RMIT student loans from Techcombank.
The university is offering English courses to students to prepare for the University Entrance Program (UEP) together with four degree programs, including Bachelor of Commerce, Bachelor of Applied Science (Software Engineering), Bachelor of Applied Science (IT & Multimedia) and the new program entitled Bachelor of Applied Science (IT with business focus).
In conjunction with HP and Foster Vietnam, RMIT officially announced scholarship programs for excellent Vietnamese students in Ho Chi Minh City and Danang to study at RMIT Vietnam for an internationally-recognized Australian university degree. These scholarships are part of RMIT International University’s commitments to contribute to the educational development of Vietnam.
