British Council Vietnam’s New Teaching Centres Launched
Recently, British Ambassador Dr Antony Stokes officially opened a new British Council Teaching centre in Ho Chi Minh City and announced the opening of an additional centre in Hanoi.
The Ho Chi Minh City Centre, based at elite highs chool Le Quy Don, will offer welcome extra space for the at-capacity British Council Vietnam HCMC operation. Meanwhile the additional teaching centre in Hanoi is based at Brend on Primary School in Trung Hoa Nhan Chinh in the fast growing west of the city.
Both centres are now fully operational with nearly 200 young learner students registered for the first courses at Le Quy Don which started 8 February, and similar numbers of young adult students expected to enrol for courses for the new term starting in March.
HMA Dr Stokes commented: Increased access to top quality learning in a modern, high tech environment is behind both these new centres. But they also represent a great deal more. The two teaching centres reflect a growing commitment to Vietnam by the British Council and also a growing international outlook from Vietnam.
