Economic Growth Tied to Environmental Impact Management
“Economic Growth: Environmental Impact Management” is the topic of the 7th conference to be held on March 7, 2012 by Vietnam Holding Limited (VNH), the Vietnam Environmental Protection Fund under the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment (MONRE) and the Vietnam Business Council for Sustainable Development (VBCSD) of the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI).
Domestic and international specialists will present latest studies on impacts of long-term corporate resource management with the aim of highlighting environmental issues Vietnamese businesses care as well as introducing initiatives and solutions to deal with water and air pollution. Besides, the meeting will also send a warning on rising sea levels that the Mekong Delta is facing.
In addition, the conference aims to raise awareness of domestic businesses about industrial pollution and support business leaders to understand more about good governance practices in their business strategies and have environmental impact assessment plans to understand and apply appropriate measures to mitigate ecological impacts, attract customers and build sustainable brands.
